| Below are directions
to set up the most popular email programs (a.k.a. email
clients).
Microsoft Outlook Express 6
Microsoft Outlook 2000
Netscape 7
If you are not sure which version of your software
you currently have installed, open it and choose "About..."
from the help menu.
Microsoft
Outlook Express 6
- Open Outlook Express
- In the menu go to Tools > Accounts
- Click on the Mail tab
- Click on the Add button then choose Mail
- For Display Name type in your real name. Click
the Next button.
- For E-mail Address type in the address you want
to check with the program. Click the Next button.
- On the E-mail Server Names page make sure your settings
are the same as shown below. Where the red yourdomain.com
is printed, type in your domain. Click the Next button.

- On the Internet Mail Logon page type in your email
account's username and password as shown in the example
below. Click the Next button.
- Congratulations! You have now set up Outlook Express
6 to both send and receive emails form your account.

- Click the Finish button. You will be taken back
to the Internet Accounts window where you should see
the new email account you just set up. Click Close
and you're done!
Now that you have set up your email account you can
click on the Send and Receive button. If you are connected
to the internet Outlook Express will download any mail
that is in your account.
Microsoft
Outlook 2000
Note: If you are
in an office that runs a Microsoft Exchange Server,
you will need to consult your network professional for
guidance in setting up Outlook 2000 to check a POP3
email account.
- Open Outlook 2000
- In the menu go to Tools > Accounts
- Click on the Mail tab
- Click on the Add button then choose Mail
- For Display Name type in your real name. Click
the Next button.
- For E-mail Address type in the address you want
to check with the program. Click the Next button.
- On the E-mail Server Names page make sure your settings
are the same as shown below. Where the red yourdomain.com
is printed, type in your domain. Click the Next button.

- On the Internet Mail Logon page type in your email
account's username and password as shown in the example
below. Click the Next button.
- Congratulations! You have now set up Outlook Express
6 to both send and receive emails form your account.

- Click the Finish button. You will be taken back
to the Internet Accounts window where you should see
the new email account you just set up. Click Close
and you're done!
Now that you have set up your email account you can
click on the Send and Receive button. If you are connected
to the internet Outlook Express will download any mail
that is in your account.
Netscape
7
- Open Netscape 7
- Click the Mail Icon

- In the Mail & Newsgroups Window, click on Edit,
then on Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.
- Click the Add Account... button
and the New Account Setup Window will open.
- Select Email Account and click
Next

- Enter your name where asked
- Enter the email address you would like to check
with Netscape 7
- Click Next

- Select POP as the type of incoming server
- Enter the incoming server and outgoing (SMTO) server
information as shown below. Where the red yourdomain.com
is printed, type in your domain. Click the Next button.

- Enter your account login (username). Click the Next
button.

- Enter the name by wich you would like to refer to
this account. Click the Next button.
- Verify that the information you entered is correct
and click Finish

- Congratulations! you have set up Netscape 7 to send
and receive email on the specified account
Note: The first
time you send or receive email, you will be asked to
enter the password for your email account. Enter is
as requested, then check the remember password checkbox.
Then click OK. You will not be asked to enter your password
again.
